Lake Michigan College

Western Michigan University's Southwest campus, located at the entrance of Lake Michigan College's Napier Avenue campus in Benton Harbor, marks the first time a Michigan University has chosen to build a facility on a community college campus

WMU and LMC are partnered to bring bachelor’s degree programs to Lake Michigan College’s Napier Avenue campus in WMU-Southwest’s building.

WMU and LMC offer ‘2 + 2 Programs’, which allow students to take their first two years of courses at Lake Michigan College at LMC tuition rates, and then transfer seamlessly into junior and senior level courses at WMU-Southwest.  For more information, click here.

In addition, WMU offers graduate level classes as well, enabling many students to not only complete an elementary education program at WMU, but also return for a master’s or doctoral program on the same campus grounds in Southwest Michigan.

Students can begin course planning by working closely with the counseling office at LMC.  Knowing how a course transfers from LMC toward degree requirements at WMU will help applicants make a smooth transition into a baccalaureate degree completion program.
