Professional Health Careers Academy

The Professional Health Careers Academy was developed through a partnership with Lakeland Regional Health System, Berrien County Intermediate School District, Berrien County PA 56 Career Technical Consortium, Lake Michigan College and Western Michigan University.

The academy is designed to target students in Berrien County from the health services major pathways who aspire to careers in health services.  The academy provides students authentic health career exploration as well as secondary and post-secondary education preparation for students in the professional health services pathway.

Students accepted into this program are dually enrolled at their local high school and at WMU.  They travel to the Southwest campus during their school day to earn college credit in a health class.
